e.g. A regular university preparation course student, Student A, has been granted 20 OSSD EQVs and he is placed at the Intermediate Level of ESL proficiency. He is required to take 10 OSSD credit UP courses and 3 Modular ESL courses and a compulsory Modular IELTS Prep Course to complete his program. Therefore, the total amount of tuition he should pay shall be accounted as follows using the above formula:

($13,980.00 / 6 x 10) + ($2,580.00 x 3+$4,290.00)
=$23,300.00 + $7,740.00 + $4,290.00
=$35,330.00

5. Tuition fees for students enrolled in OIC UT/PU Prep Courses of grades or classes prior to Grade 12 shall be accounted in the following formula:

{(Tuition for OIC UT/PU Prep Courses per GR12 UT/PU Prep Class per academic year/two semesters-(minus) tuition for 3 modular EAP courses)/ (be divided by) 6 UP courses x (times) the total number of required courses} + (plus) tuition for 3 modular EAP courses

e.g.

He is required to take 10 OSSD credit UP courses and 3 EAP Modular courses to complete his program. Therefore, the total amount of tuition he should pay shall be accounted as follows using the above formula for OIC UT Prep Class:
{($24,980.00 – $2,680 x 3) / 6 x 10} + ($2,680 x 3)
={($24,980.00 -$8,040.00) / 6 x 10} + $8,040.00
=$16940.00 / 6 x 10 + $8,040.00
=$28233.33 + $8,040.00
=$36,273.33

(2) A PU Prep Course student, Student A, has been granted 20 OSSD EQVs and he is assessed and evaluated by the ESL Placement Test and the Maths Placement Test, and he has met the minimum requirements for the PU Prep Class. He is required to take 10 OSSD credit UP courses and 3 Modular EAP courses to complete his program. Therefore, the total amount of tuition he should pay shall be accounted as follows using the above formula for OIC PU Prep Class:
{($23,980.00 – $2,680 x 3) / 6 x 10} + ($2,680 x 3)
={($23,980.00 -$8,040.00) / 6 x 10} + $8,040.00
=$15,940.00 / 6 x 10 + $8,040.00
=$26,566.67 + $8,040.00
=$34,606.67
