Exemption or Waiver of ESL Courses You may be considered for an exemption or a waiver of the ESL courses ONLY when you can demonstrate your language proficiency by providing your official score in one of the following recognized English language tests:
All tests must be taken within two years of the date at which you apply for admission to Ontario International College. If you believe that your ESL modular courses should be waived or you should be exempted from providing an official score in a recognized English proficiency test, based on one of the conditions listed above, you must write to your dean@oicedu.ca to request such a waiver or an exemption. OIC reserves the right to refuse any waiver or exemption. Even with this proof of proficiency with your official score in one of the above recognized English language tests, OIC reserves the right to require that you take ESL or EAP (English for Academic Purposes) courses if your knowledge and skills of the English language is considered insufficient. |
